To organise a spectacular 50th birthday party for a man, with immense energy, attention to detail and driven to excellence who lives between Chicago and the UK? And to make it better than the previous three parties!

The Added Dimension

Bring Chicago to London!

Guests arrived in costume for a pre-dinner reception served on the terrace, where they sipped champagne out of tea-cups (it was the era of prohibition after all!) and enjoyed sumptuous canapés from one of London’s top caterers.

Following the speeches, a siren warned everyone of an impending raid and guests were hurried into the local ‘speakeasy’. Entering the marquee they walked up some stairs and along a dark corridor, and then emerged on the top tier of an underground nightclub.

Stunning Art Deco features adorned the walls and railings, the focal point being the glittered stage with a single jazz pianist playing on a ‘Big Red’ grand piano.

Guests enjoyed an American inspired buffet, adorned with freshly made burgers, sticky ribs and delicious pizzas, followed by ice-cream sundaes, doughnuts with chocolate dipping sauce and fresh apple pie.

As a special treat for the birthday boy after the spectacular fireworks and laser display, the cast from the West End production of Chicago, were brought in to perform a medley of hits from the show – accompanied by a live big-band, who then kept guests dancing the night away with classic hits.
